The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), Francis Drouin, on Thursday, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, discussing Parliamentary ties and the Assembly’s role in the development of democracy and human rights protection.
The duo stressed the importance of ties in culture and education, mentioning five Georgian universities’ partnership with the Francophone University Agency (AUF).
PM Garibashvili underscored Georgia’s readiness to deepen cooperation with APF.
Following the meeting, Francis Drouin awarded Irakli Garibashvili the prestigious Ordre de la Pléiade and a diploma.
