Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday hosted the President of the Slovenian National Assembly, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, covering the successful cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries.
According to the government’s press office, the duo reviewed Georgia’s EU integration process and the nation’s progress in this regard.
Garibashvili noted that the country appreciates Slovenia’s support towards Georgia’s integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic structures. “EU integration is a choice made by the Georgian people and the main priority of the foreign policy of the Government of Georgia. Authorities do their best to achieve this goal.”
The PM informed Zupančičof of Georgia’s progress in implementing the EC’s 12 recommendations and expressed hopes that Slovenia would continue providing solid political and practical support to Georgia in the future.
