Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Tuesday hosted the President of the German Bundestag, Bärbel Bas, discussing Georgia-Germany relations and the cooperation prospects.

According to the government’s press office, the meeting covered Georgia’s progress on its EU integration path, including the ongoing reforms under the European Commission’s 12 recommendations.

The PM said Georgia appreciates Germany’s “strong support” for Georgia’s EU membership, deeming the nation’s EU aspiration “unwavering.”

Garibashvili thanked Bas for Germany’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the policy of non-recognition of Georgia’s breakaway regions.
