Georgian Parliament’s EU Integration Committee attend COSAP in Sarajevo
Members of the Georgian Parliament’s European Integration Committee, Lika Shartava and Eka Sepashvili, participated in the Conference of Parliamentary Committees on European Integration (COSAP) of the Western Balkan candidate countries, held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on November 17–18.
During the conference, Eka Sepashvili addressed the attendees, highlighting the security challenges confronting Georgia, its geopolitical significance within the context of the EU’s enlargement policy, and the imperative of safeguarding regional stability and security. She also underscored the importance of exchanging experiences among candidate countries on their EU accession journey.
Throughout the event, participants discussed the progress made in the European integration process, alongside the ongoing challenges faced by candidate countries.
The conversations covered topics such as the EU enlargement policy, the influence of the geopolitical environment, and regional cooperation efforts.
COSAP serves as a permanent parliamentary platform dedicated to fostering cooperation on EU accession matters among Western Balkan countries.
The organisation’s chairmanship, in collaboration with its member states, also extended invitations to parliamentary delegations from Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Türkiye.
