Georgian Parliament holds yellow security level

The Georgian Parliament will keep the yellow security level on May 1 based on the September 4, 2023, decree of Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

Visitors will not be permitted to enter the supreme legislative body. Invited persons and accredited TV journalists (no more than 2 TV crews from each media outlet) will be allowed to attend the committee sittings and the plenary.

“The imposed measures aim to ensure a peaceful work environment in the parliament,” the Georgian Parliament said.

The Parliament enforces the yellow security level amid tensions over the protests against the bill On Transparency of Foreign Influence.
