Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates Svetitskhovla on Twelve Apostles Day

The Georgian Orthodox Church commemorates the day of the Congregation of the Twelve Holy Apostles, a day also known as Svetitskhovloba.

The Svetitskhovli Cathedral was built to honour the twelve apostles.

Reverend Shio Mujiri, the Patriarchal locum tenens, chief priests, and clergy, conducted a solemn service at Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.

Svetitskhovloba is observed twice a year, on October 14 and July 13.
