The Georgian National Film Centre (GNFC) has announced an open competition entitled “Promotion of Georgian Cinema and Support of Film Screenings in the Regions of Georgia”, with project submissions open from 1 to 14 September.

According to the agency, proposals must encompass at least eight film screenings across Georgia’s regions, featuring works produced with financial support from the Film Centre. Each screening must be accompanied by a meeting with a member of the creative team or provide an opportunity for audience participation in post-screening discussions.

A five-member selection commission will evaluate the submissions. Project selection criteria will focus on the applicants’ track record, project sustainability, level of innovation, and alignment with stated objectives.

The total budget for the competition stands at GEL 50,000. Maximum grant allocations are capped at GEL 17,000 for legal entities and GEL 8,000 for individual applicants.

Applications for the competition can be submitted electronically to the GNFC email address at [email protected]. Full terms and application forms have been published on the official website, www.gnfc.ge. Applicants seeking further information may contact Manana Suradze, Head of the Film Art Promotion Department, via [email protected].
