Georgian, Italian Defence Ministries sign bilateral cooperation plan

A delegation of the General Staff of the Italian Armed Forces is holding bilateral consultations in the field of defence in Tbilisi, the Georgian Ministry of Defense (MOD) reported on Sunday.

The sides discussed the cooperation issues. The MOD informed Italian guests of the ongoing reforms.

After the meeting, the parties signed a bilateral cooperation plan. The consultations also covered the organizational issues of high-level visits.

According to the MOD, the Ministries of Defense of Italy and Georgia are actively cooperating with international military training within the NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP), as well as on military-civilian cooperation, military education and aviation.
