Georgian Interior Minister meets Director General of Turkish National Police
Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, met with the Director General of the National Police of Turkiye, Mahmut Demirtaş, who is paying an official visit to Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the cooperation between the Georgian and Turkish law enforcement agencies and future activities.
The Minister expressed readiness to expand the existing relations in various directions further. The discussion also touched upon strengthening bilateral cooperation in combating crime and setting joint measures.
At the end of the meeting, Mahmut Demirtaş noted that deepening cooperation with the Georgian law enforcement agencies was of great importance for Turkiye and expressed hope to further intensify the ties.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is hosting a delegation from the Interior Ministry of Turkiye, headed by the Director General of Turkiye’s National Police, Mahmut Demirtaş.
