Georgian Interior Minister holds talks with Azerbaijani Ambassador on regional cooperation
Geka Geladze, Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, met today with Faig Guliyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that both parties discussed the strong strategic partnership that exists between the two nations during the meeting.
“The conversation covered ongoing developments and security concerns in the South Caucasus region. The importance of peace and regional cooperation was underscored as vital for sustainable progress.
The discussion also underscored the strong and effective police cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The Minister expressed optimism about further strengthening this exemplary partnership and emphasised the crucial role played by police attaches in fostering this cooperation,” the Ministry’s statement read.
