Georgian gov't sells ex-gov't-purchased luxury helicopter to buy three new

The Georgian government has decided to sell “a luxury helicopter bought for the former president by the previous government” and buy three new ones instead, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced on Monday.

“We will return the helicopter to its manufacturer, i.e. we will sell it and buy three new helicopters, which will benefit rescue operations.”

PM rejected the “speculations” that a luxury helicopter was used during rescue missions.

Interior Ministry and Finance Ministry are involved in the sale-purchase process, Garibashvili added.
