Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili met the OSCE acting Chairman, Head of Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, during the Munich Security Conference (MSC).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on the security environment in the region.
“In this context, the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and the role of Switzerland as a mediator in Georgian-Russian relations were emphasized.
The Georgian and Swiss foreign ministers touched on the OSCE acting Chairmanship’s agenda, oriented on dialogue, peace and stability. Moreover, the sides reviewed ongoing processes in Georgia and priorities of domestic and foreign policies. At the end, the Minister invited the OSCE acting chairman to Georgia,” the Foreign Ministry said.
