Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili engaged with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkiye, Ambassador Berris Ekinci, over talks on Georgia-Turkiye friendly relations and strategic partnership.

The parties welcomed holding the next meeting of the Georgia-Turkiye inter-governmental joint economic commission in July in Tbilisi.

A positive assessment was given to economic cooperation, successful cooperation in the Georgia-Turkiye-Azerbaijan trilateral format and the implementation of strategic projects in the Middle Corridor development.

Maka Botchorishvili and Berris Ekinci discussed regional security and the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

On July 3, Tbilisi will host the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Republic of Turkiye.

The Georgian delegation will be chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia, while Ambassador Berris Ekinci will lead the Turkish delegation.
