Georgian Economy Minister meets Hungarian FM

Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili met Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó.

Péter Szijjártó underscored that Hungary supports Georgia-Hungary trade-economic relations deepening and supports financing joint business projects.

The sides highlighted the importance of Wizzair, Hungarian low-cost Air Company’s operation in Georgia for the development of Georgian air and tourist markets.

Economy Ministry said that trade turnover between Georgia and Hungary went up by 30% in the last 5 months of 2022.

Levan Davitashvili said that despite high risks in the region, Georgia offers attractive investment environment to foreign companies.
