Georgian Defence Forces get NATO-standard armoured vehicles from Turkey

Georgian Defence Forces will procure NATO-standard armoured vehicles from Turkey, following an agreement inked between the two nations at the Georgian Defense Ministry.

ASFAT Company, a Turkish state-owned defence contractor overseen by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, will supply the armoured vehicles.

“Equipping the Georgian Defence Forces with the indicated armoured vehicles would greatly assist in improving Georgia’s defence capabilities and enhancing Georgia-Turkey cooperation,” the Defense Ministry stated.
