Georgian Ambassador to US confers with Republican Congressman Abraham Hamadeh on defence ties and Trump peace initiative
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States Tamar Taliashvili has held a bilateral meeting with Congressman Abraham Hamadeh (R-AZ), a member of the US House Armed Services and Veterans’ Affairs Committees.
As Ambassador Taliashvili noted on social media, the two parties discussed the ongoing positive momentum in bilateral relations. Particular emphasis was placed on global geopolitical challenges and the paramount importance of safeguarding state sovereignty and ensuring regional stability.
“Tamar Taliashvili highlighted Georgia’s strategic role within the region, along with the nation’s economic achievements and outlook, particularly in the context of the Middle Corridor expansion.
The meeting also addressed the ‘President Trump’s Route for International Peace and Prosperity’ (TRIPP) initiative. The Ambassador underscored Georgia’s strategic relevance and reaffirmed its readiness to stand alongside partners in ensuring the successful implementation of the initiative,” official information released on Tamar Taliashvili’s page reads.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador formally invited the Congressman to visit Georgia.
