Georgian Ambassador to United States meets with U.S. State Department representatives
The Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, welcomed representatives of the U.S. State Department, Senior Advisor for Planning Policy Jonathan Askonas and Special Assistant Charles Yockey, at the Georgian Embassy. The embassy in the United States shared this news on its social media platforms.
During the meeting, the Georgian side reiterated its willingness to reset relations with the United States and underscored the importance of renewing the strategic partnership between the two nations.
“The discussion also covered current issues in bilateral relations between Georgia and the United States. The role of Georgia as a regional connector was highlighted, along with the transport potential of the Middle Corridor. The conversation also addressed ongoing and emerging international processes, emphasising the need for peace and stable development in the region.
The American representatives reaffirmed their unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the embassy’s statement concluded.
