Georgian Airways implements inaugural Tbilisi-Rome direct flight

Georgian Airways Air Company implemented its inaugural Tbilisi-Rome direct flight from the Tbilisi International Airport on Saturday.

Tbilisi-Rome flights will be implemented twice per week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the summer navigation season, the Union of Georgian Airports reported.

Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, Italian Ambassador to Georgia Massimiliano D’Antuono, General Director of Union of Georgian Airports Levan Moseshvili, Director of Civil Aviation Agency Givi Davitashvili, Georgian Air Navigation Director Gocha Mezvrishvili and TAV Georgia General Manager Tea Zakaradze attended a special event on the occasion of the inaugural flight.

“It is most important that our capitals will be linked by direct air from today. For that, I would like to thank the air company Georgian Airways and wish it successful flights,” Levan Moseshvili said.

The air company’s management congratulated the guests and crew members on the International Pilots’ Day, observed on April 26.

Georgian Airways also implements direct flights to Milan and Forli.
