Georgian Air Navigation Board of Trustees Chair appointed ICAO Global Ambassador

Upon the presentation of the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, and at the decision of the General Secretary of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Levan Karanadze, Georgian Air Navigation Board of Trustees Chair, has been appointed ICAO Global Ambassador.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the mandate of the Global Ambassador is defined with a 2-year term.

ICAO launched its Global Ambassadors program for the first time this year. Currently, only 24 Global Ambassadors have been selected from the organization’s 193 member states.

The program aims to raise public awareness about the significance and development prospects of the aviation sector by engaging professionals and decision-makers.

The Global Ambassador’s mandate has been established for a two-year term and will be implemented in support of ICAO’s Strategic Plan 2026–2050.
