Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said the incomprehension between Ukraine and Georgia was cleaned up, as he talked to his Ukrainian counterpart Ruslan Stefanchuk.

Papuashvili believes disinformation, which is part of a hybrid war waged by the country’s ill-wishers internally and externally, resulted in miscommunication.

“Communication may fix many things. During this call today, we resolved and agreed on many issues,” Papuashvili said.

Georgian parliamentary delegation will depart for Ukraine soon, while speaker Papuashvili said he “wishes to see an interparty delegation.”

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili Wednesday held a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Ruslan Stefanchuk, who invited parliament members of different countries, among them Georgian Parliament Speaker, to visit the sites of atrocities by Russian troops. Shalva Papuashvili first rebuffed to visit Ukraine on April 8, dubbing Stefanchuk’s invitation improper.
