Georgia to host APF's 48th session tomorrow

Georgia will host the 48th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF) on July 7 for the first time.

According to the parliament’s press office, the Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, and the APF President Francis Drouin will address the participants, including representatives of diplomatic missions, the Cabinet members, and the MPs.

Georgia has been an observer in APF activities since 2004. The Georgian Parliament applied to the APF for associate membership in 2021 via an official letter. The decision will be made during the 48th session in Tbilisi.

About 250-member delegation is visiting Georgia. The assembly will close on July 8.
