This year, Georgia will serve as a partner country at ITB China, one of Asia’s premier tourism exhibitions, held in Shanghai.
The partnership was formally announced with a signing ceremony in Tbilisi, attended by ITB China officials, embassy representatives, Georgian tourism stakeholders, and distinguished guests.
Taking place from May 26 to 28 in Shanghai, ITB China 2026 offers Georgia unparalleled visibility and a range of promotional activities. As a partner country, Georgia will have its own branded exhibition space, with its logo featured on the official website, digital platforms, and printed materials.
Georgia’s 400-square-metre stand will showcase cultural performances, culinary delights, wine masterclasses, and tastings. Approximately 70 Georgian companies will participate, alongside presentations and workshops.
The country will also host the official opening dinner, attended by over 700 tourism industry leaders, buyers, and high-level guests. The evening will highlight Georgian culture, folklore, gastronomy, music, and wine. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the official start, followed by a VIP tour of the Georgian stand. Additionally, videos promoting Georgia will be broadcast across Chinese media and digital channels.
Positioning Georgia as a partner at ITB China 2026 aims to elevate its profile across China and the broader Asian region, attracting more tourists. Last year, ITB China 2025 drew 21,000 visitors, over 1,400 buyers, and 700 participants from 85 countries, with access to more than 75,000 businesses and media outlets. Organisers anticipate even greater participation this year.
