Georgia reported 3 487 coronavirus cases, 39 deaths, and 2 495 recoveries on Wednesday, announced Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council, at a press briefing at the Government Administration.
Georgian capital Tbilisi reported the highest number of 1 477 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 533 cases, and the Adjara region with 280 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 198 387, among them 167 281 people recovered and 1 922 died.
There are 622 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6 721 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 461 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities, the official figures show.
Currently, there are 1 103 critical patients, among them, 431 require mechanical ventilation.
