Georgia participates in World Heritage Committee meeting
Georgia is participating in the UNESCO 48th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, Republic of Korea.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Cultural Heritage Department Head Salome Jamburia addressed the session participants. She thanked the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) for their cooperation and support of Georgia.
During the session, the committee reviewed the state of conservation of the Historical Monuments of Mtskheta, which are included in the World Heritage List.
Relevant recommendations were prepared. Georgia shared the recommendations and pledged readiness for their efficient implementation.
