Georgia nominates A Long Break for Oscar

A 12-member jury in Georgia nominated Data Pirtskhalava’s film A Long Break for the 2023 Oscars.

The Georgian National Film Center (GNFC) announced a competition on August 22 to determine a nominee for the Academy Awards 2023. Six feature films took part in the competition.

Data Pirtskhalava won the Best International Short Award at the Locarno International Film Festival with his first film Father in 2015.
