Georgia joins international charity race Wings for Life-World Run 2018. Charity event is being held for the fifth time in Georgia.
It has start at 15.00 p.m. on the turning point to Lopota Lake on the Telavi-Kvareli highway.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Georgia, this year a total of 7 000 people have registered to take part in the race in Georgia.
The Minister of Culture and Sports Mikheil Giorgadze is participating in the event. The delegation of International Federation of Weightlifting led by President Tamás Aján visited Kakheti to take part in mass sporting event.
The professional athletes, amateurs and persons with disabilities are participating; no participants younger than 18 are allowed.
Ministry of Culture and Sport is organizing the event in Georgia. This year the event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia. The project is co-organized by the National Federation “Sport for Everyone”.
Media Partner of the charity event is the First Channel of GPB. The group of the First Channel has traditionally joined the race.
Hundreds of thousands of people are participating in Wings for Life World Run worldwide. They join together to make curable a spinal cord injuries.
