Georgia has secured 28,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, Head of National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze announced on Wednesday.
Pfizer two doses are given up to 21-28 days apart.
Citizens can book jab appointments effective today from 3 pm, while vaccination will begin on July 16 in seven medical facilities.
The Pfizer and Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines are given in the hospitals due to safety reasons, while Chinese jabs at additional covid vaccination centres.
In total, Georgia will receive 1,000,350 doses of Pfizer jab in stages.
