Intermittent rainfall is expected to persist across Georgia until 16 May, with some areas likely to experience heavy showers, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds, according to the National Environment Agency.

The agency warns that the anticipated precipitation may lead to a significant rise in water levels in rivers, flash floods in smaller waterways, and the activation of landslide and mudflow processes in the country’s hilly and mountainous regions. The risk level has been assessed as moderate.
