Georgia and Iceland sign MoC in Geothermal Energy Development

Georgia and Iceland signed a memorandum of cooperation for geothermal energy development during the international conference held in Reykjavík.

The signatories took the commitment to foster cooperation in harmonizing legislation, communication among government institutions and tightening ties between trade and commerce chambers to increase energy efficiency.

The Georgian delegation met the Minister of the Environment, Energy and Climate, Gudlaugur Thór Thórdarson, taking part in a thematic discussion on the experience of the use of geothermal energy. The panel discussion was attended by 800 delegates from 50 countries.
