GD’s Matikashvili: Trump’s messages mirror GD’s platforms, leaving opposition at odds
“The opposition in Georgia is facing a challenging time, as the messages of the Georgian Dream have been echoed by the new US President, Donald Trump,” stated Davit Matikashvili, a member of the parliamentary majority.
According to Matikashvili, opposition politicians are likely to be displeased with Trump’s statements, as radical elements acknowledge that their own desires do not align with the rhetoric and plans of the new US administration.
“President Trump has explicitly stated that there are only two genders in the US: male and female. I suggest the opposition draw parallels and consider the law that addresses these very issues. They criticized our peaceful policies and instead advocated for a scenario where missiles would be raining down on Georgia’s skies,” Matikashvili said.
He emphasized that this development confirms that certain forces are supported by the Global War Party and are carrying out its agenda.
“In contrast, Trump is committed to bringing an end to the war in Ukraine as soon as possible and, more broadly, to resolving conflicts worldwide,” Matikashvili noted.
