GD’s Machavariani: Opposition’s meeting with Ambassadors confirms they are controlled from outside

“The opposition holds meetings with ambassadors, and this is nothing new. They met them not only now but during the election campaigns and consulted over election formation,” said Levan Machavariani, a member of the Georgian Dream (GD) party.

According to Machavariani, opposition representatives often visit the countries that the ambassadors represent.

“Instead of engaging with the people during the election campaign, they are receiving instructions in various capitals. These ambassadors act as centralizers of directives from their countries to the opposition, which functions as a network of agents. There is nothing new here; This further confirms that they are entirely controlled from the outside,” he said.

Badri Japaridze from Strong Georgia-Lelo, Irakli Pavlenishvili from the United National Movement (UNM), Giga Bokeria from the Federalist Party and Nika Gvaramia from the Coalition for Change met with British Ambassador to Georgia Gareth Ward, German Ambassador to Georgia Barbara Voss and French Ambassador to Georgia Olivier Courteaud.
