“Several weeks ago, a fake account was created on the social platform TikTok in the name of Tsotne Ivanishvili. Manipulative videos of a provocative nature are being circulated from this fraudulent account,” states a statement released by the Georgian Dream Public Relations Office.

According to the statement, messages are also being sent to young people from this Tsotne Ivanishvili’s fake account, purportedly inviting them to the party’s central office for interviews.

“An official letter has been sent to the administration of the social platform TikTok, notifying them that the account is fake and is misleading the public. We await a response to the said letter and the removal of the fraudulent account.

We also urge TikTok users not to engage with the individual behind this account, as they are unlawfully using Tsotne Ivanishvili’s name and surname. The matter has been referred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for further legal action,” the statement reads.
