GD MP remarks on CPI report

Levan Karumidze, MP of the Georgian Dream (GD) party, echoed Transparency International’s 2022 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) on Twitter.

“Georgia gains +1 score in Corruption Perception Index, remains at the top among Eastern Partnership and Western Balkan countries and ahead of 9 EU member states while sharing its rank with Czechia, Italy and Slovenia,” he tweeted.

According to Transparency International’s 2022 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), Georgia scored 56 points, making one point increase compared to the previous year. In the past, the country had 56 points 3 times: in 2017, 2019 and 2020. Georgia ranks 41st among 180 countries included in the ranking.
