“The war in Ukraine continues, and the issue of opening a second front will remain pressing until the conflict ends,” stated Vladimer Bozhadze, a member of the Georgian Dream party.

According to Bozhadze, the GD party’s statement addressed ongoing developments that may be connected to Georgia.

The GD member noted that the government anticipates Donald Trump’s inauguration and subsequent actions that could potentially lead to peace in Ukraine.

“We wanted to inform our citizens and explain the preconditions behind the attitudes certain countries and politicians adopt toward Georgia, as well as who is steering these processes,” he said, adding that some political factions are not interested in peace and stability.

“Trump’s primary message was that he would bring peace to the world, which is why the American people elected him as their president. Similarly, the Georgian Dream has conveyed this message for the October 26 elections, and, of course, peace is our country’s foremost achievement over the past 12 years.

No pressure or sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili or other officials in our coalition will have any effect. We are committed to protecting the interests of our people and our nation. Despite the pressure that may persist in the future, we assure our citizens that we will do our utmost to maintain peace and stability in our country,” he emphasized.
