GD Executive Secretary: Georgia leads with Corruption Perceptions Index

“Georgia leads in Eastern Europe and Central Asia with the Corruption Perceptions Index 2024. We have ambitious plans in that direction,” wrote Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream (GD) party, on Facebook.

According to Mdinaradze, Georgia will soon rank among the world’s leading countries in the fight against corruption, not only within the region but on a global scale.

“We do not intend to be satisfied with this, and shortly, Georgia will be among the leading countries not only in the region but in the world with the results in the fight against corruption. Inside the country, those individuals who have not acknowledged our goals and will be tempted by corruption, I don’t advise to do so. Let them get convinced by the government’s real, ambitious and at the same time beneficial intention for the country,” he said.

The Corruption Perceptions Index 2024 ranks 180 countries by their perceived levels of public sector corruption.
