GD Executive Secretary anticipates completion of all processes by September
“The demand to extend both the mandate and terms of the fact-finding commission was entirely justified and logical, as it ensures issues were not resolved hastily,” stated Mamuka Mdinaradze, Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream (GD) party.
Mdinaradze emphasized that the parliament will take all necessary steps within its mandate before the Constitutional Court makes its decisions.
“Following my statement yesterday, some may have held onto unrealistic hopes. However, the extension requested by the commission, which was fair, will only result in a maximum delay of 2-3 months. This is the longest possible extension. To prevent further undue expectations, we assure you that all processes will be completed by September, including the lawsuit filed in the Constitutional Court regarding the ban on the United National Movement and its affiliated parties,” he noted.
