Gakharia for Georgia's Kvedeliani: Confrontation on May 26 unaccaptable
“May 26 is a public day and a very significant date in our newest history when we took a step forward with unity. Confrontation on the part of any party in people is unacceptable,” said Tata Khvedeliani, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.
According to Tata Khvedeliani, the Gakharia for Georgia party does not participate in the organization of this day within either of the platforms, though the party members will be with people, voters, to “celebrate this day together at Rustaveli Avenue.”
“This day must not be used for party interests. Confrontation on the part of any party or subject on a day of national significance is unacceptable. Any kind of radicalization on this day is inadmissible,” she stated.
Tata Khvedeliani noted that foreign partners would visit Georgia on May 26.
“Their readiness to stand with the Georgian people is significant. Their visit would serve to strengthen the pro-European flank, and discharge the processes that are taking place in our country to fulfil the people’s two main demands: unconditional release of 53 political prisoners and restoration of the country’s European future through the appointment of new elections,” she said.
