Gakharia for Georgia’s Buchukuri: Zourabichvili’s U.S. visit is significant; opposition needs greater seriousness

“Salome Zourabichvili’s visit to the U.S. was significant, as she is doing her utmost; however, I wish some opposition politicians would take their responsibilities more seriously,” remarked Ana Buchukuri, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.

Buchukuri expressed her belief that one day the Georgian Dream party will come to realize that Donald Trump represents the Deep State.

“Donald Trump is the democratically elected president of the U.S., unlike the government we currently have in Georgia. While I won’t delve into the details of Trump’s messages, the international implications cannot be overlooked. Sooner or later, this government will understand that Trump is indeed a figure of the Deep State. I want to remind the public that the previous administration took a firm stance against the Georgian government. The Republican Party is known for its rigidity, especially concerning developing democracies.”

Buchukuri further noted that GD Executive Secretary Mamuka Mdinaradze would likely be the one to inform the public about Trump’s alleged defeat at the hands of the Deep State.

“Let’s wait for Mamuka Mdinaradze and others like him to comment on Trump,” she stated.

In response to a question from GPB First Channel’s journalist regarding Trump’s assertion that there are only two genders—male and female—Buchukuri declined to comment.

“Are you serious? I have no intention of assessing that statement or similar comments from Georgian Dream representatives. They can focus on their own views about gender. I won’t add anything, as it’s simply frustrating. You know who is discussing these issues and what I mean.

Our opinions about Trump remain unchanged. As for other opposition figures, I suggest you ask them. Unfortunately, inconsistency is a challenge on both sides. The most important thing is Zourabichvili’s visit, as she is genuinely trying to make a difference. I just wish some opposition politicians would approach their roles more seriously,” she concluded.
