French Embassy: Tbilisi Airport agreement exemplifies commitment to fostering economic cooperation

“This ambitious agreement plans for an investment of 150 million dollars to expand Tbilisi International Airport. This signing exemplifies the commitment of French companies to fostering economic cooperation with Georgia, bringing the country even closer to Europe,” reads the statement of the Embassy of France to Georgia.

According to the Embassy, the agreement plans to invest 150 million dollars to expand Tbilisi International Airport.

“January 15 marked an important milestone with the signing of an extension to the concession agreement between Aéroport de Paris (ADP) and TAV Airports, a member of the Groupe ADP, until 2031. The signing was attended by Georgian Prime Minister Mr Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Economy Mrs Mariam Kvrivishvili, and ADP CEO Mr Philippe Pascal.

This ambitious agreement plans for an investment of 150 million dollars to expand Tbilisi International Airport. The initiative will enable the airport’s capacity to be increased to 10 million passengers.

Having been present in Georgia for 20 years, the ADP Group continues to contribute to the country’s economic development, the modernisation of its infrastructure, and its international outreach. This signing exemplifies the commitment of French companies to fostering economic cooperation with Georgia, bringing the country even closer to Europe,” reads the French Embassy’s statement.
