“A lengthy debate over whether or not the railway will be opened, and what will happen if it is, is pointless. Everything will happen if there is no adequate pushback. The railway will be open next, followed by the restoration of diplomatic relations, and finally, if Erdogan remains in power, a tripartite format or direct bilateral, assuming we fail, and they win,” Givi Targamadze, a former United National Movement (UNM) party member, stated to TV Pirveli.
According to Targamadze, there is no time to decide on the form of resistance, speak to some individuals, or burn a patrol police car.
“This form or that form, let’s not burn the police car, let’s not talk to him like that… If we want to rescue the country, we must do everything. We would overthrow them two thousand times if we wanted to, but we are serving the nation. I mean protest in everything, but protest in a form that would shock them, as they were scared in March or during Gavrilov’s period. I mean exactly that. Did you see how scared they were? We know they’re scared, so why don’t we do something about it?” Targamadze said.
Targamadze believes society has enough resources to raise the level of protests.
“They were forced to revoke this bill in March due to widespread resistance. I’m not suggesting doing something helpless. It’s simply that there was a lot of phi and pho throughout that demonstration, amazing, how they destroyed the police car. More vehicles and buildings are being destroyed than ever before across Europe. Who said the European protest was calm and sophisticated? Half of Paris was burned down because of pensions back then. I’m not saying everything must be burned, but if it does, there’s nothing terrible about it, and upstart demonstrations and protests will have no result,” Givi Targamadze stated.
