Nika Melia, former Chair of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party, said he would not accept directives from those, who moved about “strange trajectory, failed and returned.”

“Before you instruct someone, look at yourself from the side, through the eyes of a voter or an ordinary member of the party,” Melia wrote on the social network.

Via video link at the November 3 court trial, jailed ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili called on members of the United National Movement (UNM) party to stop weakening the party from the inside urging the UNM members to mind their businesses outside instead of insulting and “biting” each other if they could not act in unity.

“We don’t need to be shaken from within. Leave and create something new. God bless you. Today, the unity of all Georgians has no alternative,” he said.
