Foreign trade turnover up by 35.3 per cent in January-July

Foreign trade turnover went up by 35.3% and amounted to USD 10 188.1million in January-July year-on-year, the Georgian National Statistics Service (GeoStat) reported.

The export increased by 36.4%, while imports by 34.8%. The negative trade balance of foreign trade turnover in this period made 39.1%.

The three largest export countries are China, Azerbaijan and Russia. Georgia’s top three foreign partners are Turkey, Russia and China.

Copper and concentrates, light motorcars and alloys made the largest share of exports.
