Foreign Relations Committee Chair meets US Ambassador

Georgian parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze met US Ambassador to Georgia Robin Dunnigan.

The parties reviewed the prospects for further intensification of Georgia-US relations and regional challenges. Nikoloz Samkharadze highlighted threats coming from Russia and the grave situation in the occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.

The Georgian Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee Chair informed the Ambassador about the government’s plan for the EC’s nine steps’ fulfilment. He underscored that integration into the EU and NATO was the top priority of the country’s foreign policy.

Nikoloz Samkharadze and Robin Dunnigan also discussed political processes and the upcoming 2024 parliamentary elections.
