Georgian Foreign Ministry representatives meet acting Polish Ambassador

Representatives of the Georgian Foreign Ministry recently held a meeting with the acting Ambassador of Poland to Georgia.

The Ministry had summoned the Polish ambassador, although Mariusz Maszkiewicz is presently in Poland. The purpose of the meeting was to address inquiries concerning the incident involving a Polish doctor.

The Special Penitentiary Service on July 14 released a statement and video footage showing a Polish doctor “trying to sneak out the paper-wrapped sample taken from the jailed ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili in his shoes.”
