Foreign Minister – We are looking forward to the arrival of new US Ambassador to Georgia
Davit Zalkaliani, Minister of Foreign Affairs said that he welcomed the accents made by Kelly Degnan, U.S. Ambassador-designate to Georgia, in a speech delivered at the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate.
“The focus was placed on the current situation across the occupied territories, U.S. support to Georgia’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty and Georgia’s aspiration to become integrated into European and Euro-Atlantic structures. The ambassador wishes to translate all this into practical cooperation that is very important,” Zalkaliani said and added that he was looking forward to the arrival of the new Ambassador in Georgia.
Kelly Degnan, U.S. Ambassador-designate to Georgia, delivered a speech during the public hearing at the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate on October 29.
