Georgia has strong, two-party support in the US – Davit Zalkaliani, Georgian Foreign Minister said when evaluating his recent visit to the US.

Foreign Minister said that he had held interesting meetings in the US Congress both with Senators and Congressmen and welcomed the new resolution that condemns recognition of Georgia’s occupied regions by Syria.

According to FM Davit Zalkaliani, Georgia is the most powerful strategic supporter of the US in the region. “Georgia is portrayed as the leader in the region and the main strategic partner to the US,” Zalkaliani said.

According to FM Davit Zalkaliani, the partnership between the United States and Georgia, which is expressed not only in resolutions and supporting statements but in specific actions, will bring significant results in the directions of economic, defense and security.
