Foreign media representatives visit Georgia for World Tourism Day 2024
The National Tourism Administration is hosting a delegation of foreign media representatives who have arrived in Georgia as part of the activities planned for World Tourism Day 2024.
Journalists, videographers, and photographers from outlets such as Euronews Travel, Forbes, Bloomberg Travel, Condé Nast, Le Monde, Prestige Communication, and Arab News will create television stories, articles, and blogs highlighting Georgia’s tourism potential and the integral role of peace in the development of the tourism sector, according to the Tourism Administration.
“International media representatives will have the opportunity to visit Tsinandali, Telavi, and Mukhrani, touring local wineries and tasting a diverse range of exquisite Georgian wines and dishes,” stated Maia Omiadze, Head of the Tourism Administration.
Georgia is set to host World Tourism Day 2024 under the auspices of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) on September 27. This will be the first time the event takes place in the country.
The UNWTO has designated “peace” as the central theme for this year’s celebration.
The event is anticipated to draw high-level delegates worldwide, including tourism ministers, representatives from international organizations, and industry experts, who will engage in various panel discussions.
