For Georgia's Sharashidze: Society must question who true opposition really is

“Boycotting the self-government elections was a significant mistake, and the attempt to peacefully overturn them constitutes an irresponsible provocation,” said MP Giorgi Sharashidze, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.

According to him, both the Georgian Dream and the United National Movement were involved in the ongoing developments within the country, including the events of October 4.

“Time will reveal what their true aims were. In the end, all of this has served to strengthen the Georgian Dream in every direction. What does it mean to appear as an oppositionist, doubt others’ opposition, yet simultaneously bolster the Georgian Dream through your own actions? Society should be asking who the real oppositionist is,” Sharashidze stated.
