For Georgia's Khvedeliani: We collaborate with partners to ensure visa-free travel benefits Georgia, not harm it
“The suspension of visa-free travel should not impact Georgia. No sanctions should undermine visa liberalisation, especially given that Georgia is governed by an authoritarian regime that abuses its own people,” stated Tata Khvedeliani, a member of the parliamentary team from the Gakharia for Georgia party.
According to her, such a decision would be detrimental to the interests of the population.
“We have so-called abusers within the government, whose criminal actions should be condemned, and who have repeatedly proven that Georgia deserves its membership in the European Union, an achievement we are all proud of. We are working with our partners to ensure that the visa-free travel arrangement remains unaffected, because any restrictions would ultimately harm the interests of the Georgian people,” added Tata Khvedeliani.
