“The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) voiced an open call for new elections in Georgia, stating that the elections were compromised, and this is clearly articulated in the resolution,” said Teona Akubardia, a member of the Gakharia For Georgia party.
According to Akubardia, any attempt by the government, parliament, or the president to “assert the opposite” is “sheer propaganda that will fail,” just like any other promise made by Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Honorary Chair of the Georgian Dream party.
“The fact is that nobody recognizes either Ivanishvili’s regime, the government, parliament, or Kavelashvili. Any attempt to promote a contrary narrative once again demonstrates that it is sheer propaganda that will fail, just like any other promise of Bidzina Ivanishvili,” she stated.
The PACE Monitoring Committee published its draft report regarding Georgia on January 28.
